What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Educational reforms should be an amalgamation of various approaches towards the integration of best practices. Among many such aspects, Collaboration has truly turned into a secret sauce for success in the educational arena. Students get to see collaboration in action with teachers and other fellow students. This highly motivates them to work well with others, even after passing out from the college. No matter whether working on a group project or preparing for the upcoming exam, the team approach is always a winning formula.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Providing the right ecosystem for the holistic development of each student to thrive & succeed”

I believe in the concept of growing together as a whole community. I pair my vision with an unrelenting passion in creating an environment where teachers can experiment, innovate, and lead. I am personally committed, especially after you’ve arrived at a position of power and responsibility, to push myself to grow, learn, and persevere despite the obstacles or challenges. I also believe in their lives.

How does your curriculum ensure the best industry practices?

“Minimizing variation by standardizing course content and assessment for all sections”

At ACPM Dental college we understand and also believe that learning needs to be heavily structured to ensure that students progress properly and appropriate rigor is in place. We also ensure that all programs and course outcomes are defined and mapped out to ensure that there are proper progression and minimal gaps. Emphasis on properly supporting faculty with program guidelines within the said structure in a way that respects their time and recognizes their efforts is also at the forefront during the execution of the curriculum.

What has been your vision for the College & how has it evolved?

I carried an undeterred vision to expand all the areas of the college, be it academic structure, Patient care, and Administration. Today we are very proud to share that we stand as one of the best colleges in Maharashtra. The college has grown leaps and bounds to the present day. We have state of the art equipment keeping pace with the technological evolution of the industry and also have integrated various teaching and learning management systems which enable holistic growth and development of all the stakeholders of the institute viz the faculty and students.

What do you see as ACPM Dental College’s greatest strengths?

“An excellent faculty & a good flow of patients for better clinical exposure”

The greatest strengths of our college have been integrating the best clinical learning experience by developing strategies to provide students with more exposure to patients, especially early in the curriculum, the opportunity to work with knowledgeable faculty, and opportunities to learn new technology/techniques. We also encourage students to participate in community-based extension activities to inculcate a sense of social responsibility. We do foster Collaborations with Industry and also other Academic institutions both Internationally and Nationally to encourage student and faculty exchange programs.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Skills like communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and flexibility are essential to acquire”

In a world of rapid change, young people need the right mix of skills to thrive. Although academic skills remain important, they are not sufficient to foster thoughtful, productive, and engaged citizens. Young people everywhere need to develop a greater breadth of skills to evaluate and apply knowledge in ways that meet the new demands of our changing dental care needs.

How do you tend to establish a healthy environment in your institute?

“Clear and effective communication to maintain transparency in the functioning of college”

A healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment enables students, adults, and even the college as a system to learn in powerful ways. 

Creating this condition requires thoughtful and constant attention to the security and safety of the facilities; creation of clear policies and procedures for student and staff conduct; frequent and effective communication with parents, families, and the school community; and attention to classroom management as well as the requisite professional development. We do encourage communication among our students through our student mentor programs, an in-house counselling facility to help students cope with various aspects of the challenges they face.
