GITAM celebrates ‘Lavz-O-Philia’

Hyderabad, August 25, 2018: GITAM, Deemed to be University, Hyderabad celebrated the 4^th edition of ‘Lavz-O-Philia’ (A Lingual Fiesta-2018) at Kinnera Hall on August 25^th, 2018. The Literary Festival has a completely full and exciting programme of events like Debate, Versify, Spellbee, Chamber of Secrets, Comic Republic and as seen on TV, Prove your Presence, Writing Therapy, JAM, Open Mic, Treasure Hunt etc. The judges selected the best students from all the events. The one day ‘Lavz-O-Philia’ ended with standup comedy by Rahul Subrahmanyan, Chennai.

Earlier, Prof. G. A. Rama Rao, Principal, School of Science inaugurated the one-day event by the lightning of the lamp and declared that the fest is open. ‘Having a hobby that we enjoy brings us joy and enriches our lives. It gives us something fun to do during our leisure time and affords us the opportunity to learn new skills’ he told.

D. V. V. S. R. Varma, Resident Director, Dr. G. S. Kumar, Principal, School of Pharmacy and Prof. Sunil Kumar, Director, School of Architecture also participated as the guest of honour in the inaugural session and wished the students enjoy the day by showing their inherent talents.
