What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?
“Identifying our strengths and weaknesses of students to fulfill their expectations”
We believe that every student's voice must be heard and we should always work to overcome our weaknesses and work on our strengths. We carry out Student Satisfaction Survey at the end of each academic session and take feedback from the students on curriculum and infrastructure. This helps us in identifying our strengths and weaknesses and we try our best to fulfill their expectations.
What are the best practices offered by the institution for the students in recent times?
“Use of online digital tools to enable proper education”
The pandemic hit the education system and it is no longer possible for academic institutions to use traditional classroom methods such as chalk and talk. We are already one step ahead in these activities. Our faculties are well equipped in handling online video conferencing tools such as ZOOM and Google Meet, sharing resources through learning management systems such as Google Classroom. Important notices and announcements are shared among the students through their class in charge in Class WhatsApp Groups. We are leaving no stone unturned in providing the best online learning environment to our students.
How does college prepare a student for higher education and career growth?
“Providing skill development courses such as Office Automation with Excel Specialization, Diploma in Tally, etc”
We understand that the conventional courses need some additional skills that can enhance a student’s employability in the job market. That too with no additional enhancement in course fee. Hence, we have a tie-up with a third party who are providing skill development courses such as Office Automation with Excel Specialization, Diploma in Tally, Digital Marketing, etc. The course fee is either very less or free in some courses. Hence, we not only want our students to excel in their respective fields but also get employed in the corporate sector. Furthermore, for students who are in Post Graduation, we organize special classes on UGC-NET Examination.

Do you organize any extra-curricular activities to enhance the skills of the students?
“National Service Scheme, Women Cell, Entrepreneurship Development Club, Literary Club”
In addition to interpersonal skills, we also work on the communication skills of our students. There are various clubs and committees which are actively engaged in organizing extra-curricular activities for our students such as Youth Red Cross, National Service Scheme, Women Cell, Entrepreneurship Development Club, Literary Club, etc. In addition, a student can also join the National Cadet Corps which can get them a weightage in their job interviews. The writers can join the team of college magazine Gyanankur as well as the Quarterly Newsletter “Campus Chronicles”.
What is your advice to the students for a great headstart in higher education?
“Don't be afraid to communicate with your teachers, mentors, and guidance counsellors”
No matter where you start, always keep moving forward. Learn from their experiences but don’t hold back to try something new and more importantly, learn to embrace failure. Failure can teach us more than success. The wind will keep blowing and change directions, we have to be always ready to adjust our sails. Your life can be changed by a single subject, one skill, one course, or one mentor.
What do you see as the college’s greatest strengths?
“An environment that provides ample opportunities for a student to learn”
College’s greatest strength lies in its vivid learning environment in which a student can have ample opportunities to take part in curricular as well as extra-curricular activities. The college supports students in developing their talent in various cultural activities such as classical music, light music, folk music, theatre, literary and fine arts. To support the students in their training and practices we have adequate sports facilities in indoor and outdoor. Spacious computer labs, well-equipped chemistry and physics labs, smart classrooms etc. are also present.

What are some of the biggest challenges for the higher education sector currently?
“Learning environments, both online and offline”
In the present scenario, the biggest challenge is the scope of online and offline learning environments. A mid-way has to be reached in which the teaching-learning process needs to be seamlessly integrated into the college and universities using ICT. A blended learning approach needs to be adopted where face-to-face and online learning need to be balanced.
