You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
It has been a long and fascinating journey for me. I started with recent formal education and wording experience on my resume, and I have this valuable experience in the field. The best part of teaching is the enjoyment I get after disseminating quality content to the students. It’s a zeal to be a part of the education system. Teaching a child to take pleasure in their study is the greatest guarantor of their intellectual development.

The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?
The process of foreign education is more of a practical approach, while Indian education is more theoretical. Also, they deal with and implement the concepts impactfully to make students understand and apply concepts in real-life situations. One can experience new places and cultures, make friends from around the world, and gain a global perspective–while earning credits toward the degree. It develops highly-valued skills such as intercultural communication, foreign languages, adaptability, and problem-solving.
What should be the institute’s top priority over the next ten years?
Our top priority is to foster stronger connections between students, faculty, and staff. We will have to create more opportunities for student leadership development, increase collaboration across departments and facilitate better handoffs between admissions counselors, advisors, success coaches, and other supportive services staff.
What was your vision for the university when you first came to the institute? Has it evolved, and how far are you in implementing that vision?
After joining this institute, I aimed to help students to develop an understanding and appreciation for the complex cultural and physical worlds in which they live and to realize their highest potential for intellectual, physical, and human development. To achieve further, we will have to do a five to ten years project in the future and determine other purposes and positions as an organization.
What do you see as your institute’s greatest strengths?
The greatest strengths include problem-solving skills, honesty, planning skill, creating new skills, showing kindness to others, being open to learning new things, and creativity.
What are some of the biggest challenges you see in general for higher education and your institute?
The biggest challenge I faced was getting to know the team. I'm used to working with a large and diverse team and thrive on finding the best in my colleagues. The biggest challenge is keeping pace with technological change in this industry
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
Don't lose hope. Be smart and patient so that nothing stops you from achieving what you wish. You are unique in the way you are. You are lucky more than you think, and believe in yourself everything will come to you at the right time. Lastly, keep struggling and shining.
