Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any).

Vipul: For NMAT we didn’t have any GD but had WAT round, in which we were given about 10 mins to write on a random topic. It was related to the metaverse and for some of my friends it was psychological or philosophical too, so the range of topics can vary from technical to philosophical. Overall the interface was good. We were allowed to think and write but there wasn’t much time, so one had to use his/her previous knowledge and command on language to bring out their best. When the time got over, we were asked to submit it and were asked to wait for some time. The evaluation as described earlier was done on the basis of content, out of the box thinking and use of language. Overall it was a very good experience irrespective of being online.

Collegedunia Team: What was the WAT/GD Topic?

Vipul: The WAT topic was the effects of Metaverse and is it a boon or a bane to society.

Collegedunia Team: What was your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Vipul: First things first, I took my stance for which side I wanted to write. After a couple of minutes I was sure I wanted to write about the pros but also made sure that I pointed out some cons and how they can be worked upon. I also wrote about the book “Snow Crash". When the term metaverse was introduced. I also talked about the benefits in different sectors like hospitals, property etc. I also wrote about the cons like Silos and the addiction to social media, and some of the dialogues from my favourite documentary the social dilemma too.

Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Vipul: My panel consisted of 3 members, out of which 2 were males and 1 was a female. One of them is a faculty at the college. The rest of them were from the department but not faculty. It was an online interview and I faced no problems such as network issues or call drops. The interview went for about 10-15 mins and was not stressful at all. They all were very polite.

My suggestion would be to be yourself because they'll identify it if you are faking yourself.

Collegedunia Team: Mention at least 5 questions that were asked in NMIMS Bangalore MBA Interview and how you responded to each of them?

Vipul: The questions asked during the Interview are:

Ques 1. Tell us something about yourself?

Ans. I told them about my educational background, city, my hobbies and one "aha factor" just to make my answer more interesting than others.

Ques 2. Why pursue an MBA?

Ans. I told them about my interests in marketing and also about my startups.

Ques 3. Which other colleges have you applied for?

Ans. I told them about other options I had.

Ques 4. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Ans. I gave them a well structured answer which I had already prepared based on the placement report.

Ques 5. Tell me something that drives you and separates you from others?

Ans. I told them that I am a state level silver medalist in discus throw.

Collegedunia Team: Mention any three reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Vipul: The three main reasons were:

1) The brand name of NMIMS is very strong as compared to other options I had, also it was in Bangalore so there were perks in getting good job opportunities.

2) The placement reports were also decent but obviously better than most colleges in this league.

3) I looked at almost every faculty's LinkedIn profile and was really impressed by the experience they had in their fields.

Collegedunia Team: What was the reason for you not converting other colleges?

Vipul: I converted every college I got a call from but messing up CAT percentile was the major reason for not being able to apply to other colleges.
