Subhash University, Junagadh hosts “Tarang 2023” including a performance by Miss. Santvani Trivedi

Dr. Subhash University, located in the Junagadh region, is widely recognized for its commitment to education as well as its diverse range of cultural and co-curricular activities held throughout the year. The university also hosts social events on occasion. As a result of its dedication to education, it was granted private university status by the Gujarat government in June 2022. Recently, on February 24th and 25th, the university organized "Tarang-2023," a two-day national-level event that was the highlight of the year. Over 3000 students participated enthusiastically in various sub-events, including Shark Tank, Science Quiz, Hackathon, Bridge-O-Mania, and Roadies, contributing significantly to the event's success. The Shark Tank and Hackathon events, in particular, raised awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.

In the night, a musical concert was held by nationally and internationally renowned folk singer Miss Santhvani Trivedi, who’s singing and folk and Fusion Garba instilled a distinct dynamism in the young hearts.

The special thing was that the entire arrangement was done by the students, which developed leadership qualities in the students.

Sports Festival-2023 held at Dr. Subhash University – Junagadh

From February 13th to 16th, 2023, the "Annual Sports Festival-2023" was held at Dr. Subhash University. Approximately 1900 competitors registered for 13 games, with 1200 students qualifying in various sports. In total, 600 competitors in these 13 games were awarded certificates, medals, and mementos for placing first, second, or third. The sports festival also included on-the-spot games in Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carom, Chess, Raffles, Cricket, Cycling, Football, Athletics, and Daily Fun Games, which were participated by more than 100 students daily throughout the week.

The "DSU CUP" was awarded to the winning teams at the end of the games. Sports Coordinator Vasantbhai and his team worked hard to ensure the success of the sports festival. The commentary was provided by DSU staff members during cricket games, which created an exciting atmosphere as if it were an international game. Trustee Mr. Rajbhai Chavda and Provost Dr. Deepak Patel Sir were present to boost enthusiasm and excitement among the students during the sports festival.

Dr. Subhash University has organized "A Nature Education Camp" at Junagadh- Narara Island

A three-day camp was organized by approximately 90 students from the School of Science of Dr. Subhash University in Narara Island, which is located in the Jamnagar Marine National Park. The purpose of this camp was to provide the students with a nature education experience where they could learn about marine life and appreciate it. Mr. Jafarbhai and Mr. Sabbirbhai were the guides who accompanied the students during their visit to the Narara marine area, where they were able to observe various types of marine life such as crabs, parfish, molluscs, corals, sea cucumbers, starfish, Featherstar, Brittlestar, and other species. The students also shared their experiences of the education camp and participated in entertainment activities such as games, folk songs, bhajans, duha, and chants.

Furthermore, the students witnessed a video tour of the Marine National Park and the interpretation zone by Mr. Husenbhai, a Range Forester. They also enjoyed visiting the mirror maze for recreational purposes. As part of the camp, the students had the opportunity to discuss marine biology with R.F.O. Mr. Karamur Sir and gather in-depth information on the subject. The staff of Dr. Subhash University worked tirelessly to ensure the camp was a success. The Prakriti Education Camp, organized by the School of Science at Dr. Subhash University, received praise from Mr. Rajbhai Chavda, a trustee of the institute, as well as Provost Dr. Deepak Patel Sir and Dean of the School of Science Dr. Darshan Jani Sir.
