Dr. Anand Nighojkar is the Principal in the Maharaja Ranjit Singh College, Indore. He is also a Professor of Biotechnology. He did M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Devi Ahilya University and Ph.D. in 1995 in Biotechnology from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. He was involved in the teaching learning process for over 25 years. Dr. Noghojkar is a University Academic Council Member, Member Board of Studies in Biotechnology and Microbiology. He has been appointed as Observer in UGC NET Examinations and as a Subject Expert in various Inspection Committees. He authored 20 international publications and a book on Experiments in Biotechnology.
What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

I have worked in the teaching sector for the past 28 years. My passion for continuous learning keeps me in the right atmosphere. One of my dreams is to become a teacher in the education sector. I learnt a lot being a teacher and through academics. To become a part of a nation gives me satisfaction and a meaningful life.
What is your leadership philosophy?
“Empowering students through education is my leadership philosophy”
I consider myself as a mentor instead of a leader. We create leaders as a mentor. My duty is to polish leadership qualities, skills and allow them to lead the society. We follow a leadership style of empowering students through education.
How do you strategize key programs for the marketing and administration of Maharaja Ranjit Singh College, Indore?
“Focus to improve education quality, plan academics and assist students to choose their career”
We offer different courses in various sectors of society. Each of the courses improve the specific ability of a child. Students can develop their skills and nurture themselves in specific areas. We can plan academics and execute them in a shared environment. Our campus focuses on educating marketing strategy in a conventional sense. Students get confidence in good quality academics in students and build their chosen careers.
How does the curriculum of Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Studies ensure the industry practice?

We follow the latest syllabus prescribed by the university for students. They get practical training most required by the industry. We adopt new Education Policy by the Ministry of Education recently. It solves the old problem of our education system, such as students used to study a particular course and did not have access to other courses. We believed that education is never complete without broadening a student's vision.
How could your college welcome students of different economic backgrounds?
“Provide scholarships based on merit, and consider all equally”
We welcome students from different races on campus. They need not worry about their financial background or race. Our campus gives scholarships on the basis of merit, sports, academics and all Govt. scholarships.

Our teachers are the soul of the college and primary strength. The management provides campus infrastructure in an effective way. Students are another strength of campus working and doing well. Overall effort by the management makes quality and meaningful decisions. Our alumni are well placed in every sector and domain.
What challenges do you see for higher education in general and Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Studies specifically?
“New Education Policy, and students from the non-English speaking students are challenges of campus”
New Education Policy is the greatest challenge for higher education in general and Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Studies. Our teacher adopted it completely but the students are facing issues. Second challenge is for non-English speaking students. They don’t have to be well versed in English to speak their thoughts. Students need to be comfortable in their languages.
