I have been in the education industry for the last 20 years, having a total of 28 years of experience. This has been a phenomenal journey. During these years, I realized that this is the only profession wherein, you not only shape the career of young students but also contribute in the nation building by transforming the students into true professionals who play a key role in making this world a better place to live in. I feel that this is the best industry to work in.

I visualize leadership as bringing out the best from each and every member of my team to achieve the common goal and one can do the same by setting examples. As Dean of the institution, I always ensure to take care of the interest of all the stakeholders such as students, parents, recruiters, faculty, promoters and society at large. 

Industry interface is one of the key components of the curriculum

The curriculum of SRM IST, Delhi-NCR Campus is designed by the pioneers of industry and academia. Students are given ample opportunities to learn from industry pioneers through internship, guest lectures and live projects. We have formulated an open system in SRM IST, Delhi-NCR Campus, Ghaziabad wherein I am less of an administrator and more of a guardian for all the students. They are free to reach me anytime during the working hours and even after working hours, not only me but all the members of SRM IST, are available for students at any point of time. 

The spark in the young minds while interacting with them fills me with happiness

I always enjoy interacting with young minds. During the induction programme at the beginning of the academic session, when I share my thoughts with the students and motivate them to work hard to enhance their capabilities, so that they can come-up with innovative solutions to various problems. During my interaction, I see a spark in the eyes of the students and watching that spark is my happiest moment. 

Success is a journey not the destination and thus students should learn from the journey

I am proud to share that, we are already one of the best institutions in the country. We believe that success is a journey not the destination. We wish to make SRM, a centre of excellence. We work for excellence and will keep doing the same in times to come. I am sure our hard work will bring more laurels to the institution and will make us one the best institutions in the world. I wish to say that always look at the brighter side of life. You will come across many challenges and difficulties in your journey but your positivity and hard work will bring the best out of you. I play the role of a catalyst where I motivate the faculty and ensure the skills are properly imparted to the students 

As head of the institution, I am in the role of a catalyst wherein, I need to motivate the faculty to deliver their best, ensure the inculcation of technical and professional skills among the students, provide the highly skilled and result-oriented professionals to industry and ensure the overall prosperity of everybody in the system.
