What are your thoughts on the current education scenario?

“A need to realize and utilize the hidden potential of talented students of the country”

The Indian education system has been growing well in recent years. We have been educated in this very system and have done whatever we could in the promotion of it at a higher level. I feel quite confident that things are developing faster than expected. There are so many talented children in our country. If we can channelise their potential and educate them in their respective areas, they can do wonders.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Inbuilt passion for higher education, academic system and the administrative domain of it”

Every educator is driven by the feeling that his efforts today will play an important role in shaping the future. Our students today should be good enough to become leaders of tomorrow in their respective fields. I feel honoured to contribute to their growth.

  • We incorporate modern ideas in our Ph.D. program and Master’s program.

What do you think should be the university’s top priority over the next ten years?

“Attune students to new technology and more empirical on innovative ideas in higher education”

Balancing teaching and research should be the top priority of the University. As you know some of the top economics universities in India and the world are known equally for both research and teaching and the ranking of the universities also depend heavily on the quality of research papers produced, hence such a balancing act becomes crucial. We believe that the best students are produced in a place where the best research is also undertaken. Other priorities include developing better infrastructure, retaining excellent faculty and international academic collaborations.

What has been your vision for the university?

“Develop a Strategic plan and lead the Institution towards growth and success”

Over the past years, my work has always reflected my dedication to this vision. Today, I wish to see that the institution is positioned on the global map on par with international institutions. We are proud of our exemplary performance in academics, research, extension activities and outreach programmes.

What do you think ICFAI’s greatest strengths are?

“The teaching technique and pedagogy lead towards industry actual requirements”

We have a great scope for Higher Education with Choice Based Credit System. Most importantly, ICFAI’s faculty is very talented. Also, the students are given adequate resources in terms of training and education. There is the incorporation of internships/projects as a mandatory component in the curriculum. Added to this are the experiential learning activities and field visits.
