The life of an IIT student is always hectic. A typical college day would consist of attending lectures, completing assignments, and spending time in the library studying. The students were looking forward to the cultural events and technical fiesta. The campus infrastructure is also adequate. Students used to spend their evenings playing sports, sitting in the gardens, and listening to music when the weather was nice.

IIT Indore's student life is a good mix of academic and extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities are led by clubs such as the Robotics Club, the Programming Club, the Music Club, the Drama Club, and the Literary Club, among others, and contribute to the student's overall development. Students compete in various competitions such as SAE BAJA, Inter-IIT Sports Meet, Inter-IIT Cultural Meet, and so on, and their performance continues to improve. Every year, Flexus, IIT Indore's annual techno-cultural festival, hosts some of the greatest names in music, science, and so on.

For the convenience of its staff and students, the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore provides a variety of facilities. These facilities are necessary for a student's college experience. IIT Indore's facilities include adequate healthcare, proper housing for faculty and students, transportation, a library, laboratories, eateries, a market, a workshop, a counseling cell, banking, and so on. IIT Indore Social Life

In addition to the rigorous academic requirements, IIT Indore offers students numerous opportunities for social interaction and group bonding. IIT Indore is well-known for its year-round student initiatives and events. Among the noteworthy events are:

  • Fluxus: Fluxus is the Indian Institute of Technology Indore's annual Techno-Cultural Festival. It is a three-day event that is usually held in February. Fluxus, which began in 2011, is Central India's largest college festival. Fluxus is a college festival run entirely by IIT Indore students.
  • ELAN: Elan, a two-day workshop on cyber security, will be held at an affiliated college, with the college serving as a zonal center.

IIT Indore Library

In addition to textbooks and reference books, the library has a fine collection of books on literature and the English language, as well as a select collection of books on sports, biographies, and general interest titles. Popular magazines and newspapers are available in both English and Hindi in the magazines and newspapers section. The library provides its users with access to over 6000 e-journals via individual and full-text databases such as ACM digital library, Elsevier Science Direct, Springer Link, IEEE Xplore, and JSTOR.

Sports facilities at IIT Indore are still under construction. IIT Indore currently has 

  • 2 Table tennis tables 
  • 1 Badminton court
  • 1 Basketball court
  • 1 Volleyball court. 

Work is being done on the swimming pool, which should be ready in a year or two.

You don't have to be concerned about the sports facilities here... That's fine; we have a very competitive environment here, whether it's football, basketball, volleyball, chess, TT, or cricket. In this year's inter-IIT competitions, our football team finished fourth. Because the strength here is lower compared to older IITs, you have plenty of opportunities in any of the sports.

  • IIT Indore has a dedicated health center that provides daycare, emergency care, outpatient care, and trauma care to the campus community. It offers vital medical assistance to students, institute guests, employees and their dependents, and others. Ambulances and a team of nurses and doctors are available at the health center.
  • The college provides excellent IT infrastructure for students.
  • The IIT Indore campus has seven different eateries. They include cafes, restaurants, and dining establishments that serve a variety of dishes, drinks, beverages, desserts, and other items.
  • For events and seminars, the college has an auditorium.
  • Students and faculty have access to Wi-Fi at the college.
  • The IITI campus provides convenient eco-friendly transportation via green vehicles. These allow residents to move around the campus at a low cost.   • The IIT Indore campus has a store called 'La Fresco Store,' which sells groceries and stationery to students. The store meets all of the student's daily needs at reasonable prices. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • The Indian Institute of Technology, Indore provides transportation for its students and faculty. It runs between the campus and various parts of Indore.
