C A Prem K Dua is a Training and Placement Officer in the GSIMR, Madhya Pradesh. He is a law graduate and a chartered accountant. He has 22 years of industrial experience and 7 years of teaching expertise. He is a seasoned professional having excellent interpersonal skills,administrator, a team leader, motivational speaker and spiritual person. He has worked with various organizations as Head of Finance including Reliance Retail and Reliance Jio. He is a fitness freak too and participated in half marathons and is a regular cyclist.
What keeps you connected with the Education Sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?
“To educate students with more information and skills connects me with the education sector”
Education has completely changed now, it’s a paradigm shift. It is now a skill based and everyday learning process. Students are now more active and already overloaded with a lot of information. I keep connected with the education sector to guide them on right and wrong information.
What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students in GSIMR?
“Placement and training for students are my responsibilities”
I always provide training and placement for students. I have been working in the corporate world for almost 25 years. So, I understand the needs of corporations. Hence, training is a more vital area that needs to be focused for students' success.
Do you have any programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?
“Advanced excel skills, GD sessions and multiple programs are available to pupils from the campus”
We give multiple programs over and above the curriculum for pupils. Some of that includes Soft Skills, Advance Excel and GD or PI sessions. All these improve students' skills widely.

When you came to this institute, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?
“To provide quality education for pupils and run regular GD sessions is my vision”
I have been in Industry for more than two decades and know the pulse of Industry. My vision is to give quality education for students and give clear understanding about the Industry's expectation. We decide to run regular GD/PI sessions in upcoming years.
What are the placement statistics of GSIMR?
“Most students get placed in Banking, NBFC, Management Consulting, HR Consulting, IT, KPO, Retail and FMCG”
78% of students are already placed in different sectors during 2020-22. Some of the sectors where our students are placed are Banking, NBFC, Management Consulting, HR Consulting, IT, KPO, Retail and FMCG. Most pupils get placed in reputed companies.
What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to train the students?
“Expert talks and industrial training are given to pupils from the campus itself”
Our campus organizes various industry expert talks for students. They get the feel of industry when visiting directly. All these ensure the benefit of pupils from the campus.
What would you like people to know about your institute they may not know?
“Aspire candidates through research and expert sessions inside the campus”
