Ques 1: Kindly tell us about your experience in the education industry and what makes it the best industry to work in?
Ans. As we are living in the era of knowledge, capital education is the best industry to work in. It contributes directly to the building of the knowledge capital.
Ques 2: Any of the significant challenges you faced as the Director of Aurora Business School?
Ans. There are many challenges that a Director of Premier B School faces. There is the challenge of attracting the best students and the best faculty. We also face challenges in getting the support of industry for industrial visits, summer internships, and final placements. But, we are able to meet these challenges.
Ques 3: How does your curriculum ensure best practices of the industry?
Ans. Our curriculum is bench marked against the best in the world. We take regular inputs in continuously updating our TLPs from Premier B Schools from India & abroad.
Ques 4: What goals do you have in your mind for Aurora Business School?
Ans. Our goal is to emerge as a global leader in business education. We have a three-pronged strategy for this. In short term, our strategy has to emerge as a regional leader, and we have already reached this mile stone. In the terms of 5 years, we want to become a national level leader and in the coming 10 years, we want to reach the level of global visibility. We are working on this track continuously.
Ques 5: You pride yourself on the level of education and responsibility you teach to your students. How do you ensure the quality of education in your institution?
Ans. We take pride in our pedagogy which comprehensively uses Conventional, Interactive and Experiential Teaching- Learning practices. These help in the professional grooming of the students.
Ques 6: How do you build a positive school culture or climate?
Ans. We build positive school culture by creating a feeling among students of value addition. For our students, Aurora Business School is a happening place where there is value addition every day. This is done through the regular conduct of professional activities, continuous project work, effective summer placement, add-on courses, foreign study tours and regular industry visits.
Ques 7: How do you tend to establish a relationship with the students?
Ans. We strike a personal rapport with students through our well-trained student counselors and through continuous feedback from them. Every trimester, we maintain enduring relations with our old students by a regular conduct of alumni events, alumni association meets and by cultivating informal relations with them.
Ques 8: How do you look at the growth of students through placement opportunities available at Aurora Business School? How do you wish to push the envelope further?
Ans. Our placement record is good, and we want to improve it to attract the global corporations as the first choice for recruitment.
Ques 9: What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
Ans. Our philosophy of leadership is leadership by example, being practice and continuously inventing and reinventing our pedagogy and professional inputs.
Ques 10: Any suggestions would you like to give to the youth and the aspiring students?
Ans. The most important advice I would like to give to all the students is to learn the virtues of time-management and self-management to be successful in managing others.
