What's your philosophy of leadership?

“To lead with a unified vision of education for all, with equal opportunities”

Our mission is to improve the lives of students from older, poorer areas. What we want is to provide them with the best at the highest standard possible. Increasing the quality of engineering education for students from Udaipur was one of our objectives. It is estimated that 80% of students today are joining big companies.

What can students gain by studying in your institute?

“An environment that focuses on experiential learning”

Our philosophy at Techno India NJR Institute of Technology is to teach 35% theory and 65% projects. Therefore, we do not confine ourselves to theory alone, and that is part of the difference. Project work is becoming more prevalent among our students. By participating in hackathons and coding events, they are establishing a name for themselves. They become competent coders, programmers, and managers fairly quickly.

How does Techno India NJR Institute of Technology welcome students of different backgrounds?

“Inclusive environment and 50 lakhs per year for scholarships”

There is no racial discrimination in this college and we make several initiatives for the welfare of students from different backgrounds. Personally, as founder and director, I've been travelling to Kashmir, in 2014, 2015 and 2016. We visit special academic anath schools of Kashmir and bring them here to provide top-class education. This is a social project of integrating Kashmiris into the Indian mainstream. We give scholarship awards of at least 50 lakh per year and this is on top of the Government of India's TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) Scheme.

How do you plan the marketing and administration of the Institute?

“Positive word of mouth from previous students”

A profession like Education should be marketed primarily through word-of-mouth rather than pure television and newspaper advertisements. As a result of spending four years at the college, our students have the best ability to promote the college. Over 200 students, who are the siblings of other students in this college, have studied here throughout its history. Students certainly recommend this college to their family members.

What are the top priorities of the Institute for the next five years?

“To provide dynamic and modern education to students”

We look at the future of technology and become early adopters. This is true for all institutions, not just ours, as we are required to keep a close eye on technological advancements. Our own cloud has existed on campus for several years, but cloud computing has been mainstream in engineering education for the past year. Virtual reality is now being discussed by engineering colleges, and I have already set up one of the best AR VR labs in 2017.

What are the greatest strengths of the Institute?

“We pride ourselves on the quality of our faculty”

The first is a highly qualified and stable faculty. In the last nine months, faculty members have published more than 50 papers in international journals. We also have a strong industry connection, which is our biggest strength. With IBM and Oracle, we are a partner on several projects. We also do a lot of internship projects with them. Besides being connected to Udaipur's local industry, we are also actively involved with its IT industry, which is fast growing. Students do projects and internships with these companies. These two factors are the key to our success.

What are the biggest challenges for the higher education sector currently?

“Lack of skilled students and better opportunities”

We need to change our present education structure and education policies. The education sector is preparing graduates, not skilled graduates who have practical skills. Those are some of the challenges the industries face with these graduates. Education policy needs to change. As a result, graduates won't have jobs after graduation. In addition, there are too many colleges permitted by the government in the field of engineering. Quality assurance has become a huge issue due to mushrooming of Colleges.
