He has done Post Graduation in Chemistry from Calcutta University of West Bengal and he has also qualified UGC NET in Chemistry. Apart from this, he has 9+ years of amazing experience in the corporate world and currently he is associated with Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science and Technology.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

"My passion of sharing my knowledge with the students have helped me stay connected with this sector"

When I graduated, I had a lot of opportunities to explore and now also, things have changed a lot as far as the field of Optometry is concerned. And I was always passionate about teaching young minds and spreading my knowledge and experience with them and I love to interact with students. So this is the main factor which has helped to stay connected with the education sector.

What are your prime duties and responsibilities for the college and students?

"I am responsible to ensure students receive best education and their issues are resolved on time"

Being the Marketing Head, I have a lot of duties to fulfill and I am primarily responsible for motivating our students, taking care of their academic and non-academic issues and resolving them on time, discovering their strengths and passion so that I can provide them with the best amenities, education and industrial exposure. Apart from this, I am accountable to make them confident, technically and ethically competent and also to ensure they never stop learning and experimenting with their ideas. 

When you first came to this college, what was your vision for it and how far have you come in implementing them?

"Working dedicatedly for the growth of students and Institution was my aim"

As I did the Graduation from here and am the Alumni of this place as well, so I had an emotional bonding with the institute from the start and I joined this amazing place as a Faculty because of the amazing infrastructure and facilities. And my aim at that time was to make available the best quality education to students and we have developed the myopia clinic here with the same aim. And now we are planning to establish a Research Center for the benefit of students and faculty members and till date I couldn't find any other institute, which is better than this.

What are some of the greatest strengths of your college?

The main pillars of our college strengths are our modernized college infrastructure, labs and library facilities, and above all we have highly qualified and extensively experienced Faculty members who represent our college and are recognised on various global platforms. Apart from this, amazing education which we offer to our students by using the latest technologies, tools and teaching methodologies which they develop after attending customized training sessions. And lastly, our students due to whom we exist are an important asset and a crucial source of our strength.

What would you like people to know about your college that makes it different from others?

Our college is one of the eminent institutes in Eastern India, which has its own Philips running on the campus. We also have our opening department that runs throughout the week from Monday to Saturday. Apart from this, we also conduct hands-on learning sessions for every single lecture and use real-life patients to strengthen their concept. So overall, we have established the best infrastructure, research facilities and industrial exposure for students in college.

Any precious advice which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

"No matter in which profession you are, try to excel in things you are best at"

I would like to advise my dear students and youths of our society who are trying to crack the tough Medical exams of our country that stay strong, because all your hard work, patience and perseverance will eventually lead you there. Also, don't follow others blindly, discover your passion, strengths as well as weaknesses and try to excel in things which you like the most, because no matter in which sector you are working, people will only recognise you when you will achieve something extraordinary. And being a Doctor is not an ordinary job, it's a noble profession because you earn well, everyone respects you and you get direct opportunities to serve the society. And if you are into a medical profession feel grateful because people will know you by your name, the way you treat them and overall your individuality matters here.
