Mr Premanand Gopal Shetty is the Director-Campus Operations at Smt Kamala and Sri Venkappa M Agadi College of Engineering and Technology (SKSVMACET). He is an able administrator and is leading the Agadi Engineering College into new spheres of education and learning. His emphasis is on bridging the gap between Academia and Industry. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Updating myself on the latest education policies and teaching methodologies are the key factors. Being regularly in touch with the best teachers and stakeholders has enhanced my association with the education section.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“My leadership style by default is a visionary, collaborative, and transformational one”

Mr Nelson Mandela once rightly said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” I religiously follow these words and inculcate healthy team-oriented practices daily. I motivate the students and faculty to lead with a shared vision and effectively communicate the academic needs. 

How do you plan the marketing and administration of your school?

“The quality of education speaks for itself in terms of marketing and publicity”

Branding and packaging are the important parts of marketing but the most important deliverables are content, service and opportunity. The achievements of my students and faculty members in an academic and industrial setting are well-known. They excel in the fields of training, personality development, sports, technical paper publications, etc. Also, the laboratory infrastructure and the placements are the main marketing tools of my school.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in your college?

What do you think are your responsibilities to the college and the students are?

“To provide a meaningful platform for the teaching-learning to take place”

My main role as a Director of Campus Operation is taking care of all the staff and students as a guardian. I feel my main responsibility is to provide modern teaching-learning facilities to my students. Also, providing the best accommodation and creating an acceptable and healthy environment.

The greatest strength of our college is the well qualified and experienced faculties. The students get an opportunity to learn on campus with modern infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, R&D activities and 360o development of the individual personality. 

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Contribute to the development of your nation with help of knowledge and skills”

My only suggestion to the current youth is to be confident, focused, and hardworking. I would implore them to become a master in their selected field and always be hopeful. Additionally, use acquired knowledge and abilities to help society develop exponentially.
