Dr. Ajitha Priyadarsini S is the Head of EEE Department in the Narayanaguru College of Engineering. She has completed her B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Government Engineering College Thrissur and Ph.D from Anna University, Chennai. She has several years of professional experience in teaching and research. Her research interests include Power systems, Control systems and Soft computing. She has published papers in international journals and presented papers in national and international conferences.

“Students need to design Electronic Circuit boards, Hardware Circuit testing and bug troubleshooting”

We structured programs in a practical way for the students. They will be able to design their own Electronic Circuit boards. Students need to perform Hardware Circuit testing and bug troubleshooting. In addition, we give project works based on innovative electronics. All these are beneficial for them to understand each process.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with programs in Narayanaguru College of Engineering?

What project types are working by students through campus programs?

Students are working on different projects based on their specific area. Some of these include power systems, control systems, power Electronics, E-vehicle, renewable energy systems and Electronics based projects. It led them to identify more about real time problems in industry/society and provide cost effective solution.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects as industry oriented?

We organize different workshops by experts for students to make them industry oriented. They attend guest lectures by industry persons. Students get value added courses and certificate courses during their period of study. We encourage them to attend training during semester holidays to achieve their dreams.

Experiences are learned by practice instead of classroom concepts. We encourage students to learn by doing. They get a chance to participate in Internal Hackathon as part of smart India hackathon organized by AICTE for a solution to a problem statement. Students can come up with creative and innovative ideas for the same. They can also participate in symposiums and conferences to boost their confidence level in front of an audience.
