What are key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Critical role in transforming the future of the country via good education”

The educational sector is the platform where there is an exchange of information. The learning is not only from teachers to students but we get an opportunity to nurture a person and have an impact over the lifetime by giving them direction. I always had a passion for this sector because of this reason; so the passion and satisfaction of nurturing so many lives at the same time plays a major role in keeping me connected to the educational sector. Talents and skills are only one part of the equation, and it’s also important to be able to extract values from skills rather than learning how to build technocrats through the application of appropriate talents.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Be adapted to be supportive and challenging as the situation demands”

To me, leadership means integrity and loyalty. I do take responsibility for every right and wrong. I believe in setting an ethical example, communicating clearly, and exhibiting a strong work culture. I have always felt leadership is all about inspiring and encouraging others hence setting up a justifiable environment where everyone may apply their skills to the best of their ability. It is very important to make all the team members feel valued and to make them understand how intensely they matter to the organization.

How does the curriculum of M. M. College of Technology ensure the best practice of industry?

“Monthly Guest Lectures from industry experts, and workshops on advanced technologies for training”

The curriculum in M.M College of Technology is always associated with the recent examples in the industry including applications of the subjects. There is a continuous feedback system at the end of the trimester that helps us make the shift in approach for continued learning. Even during the projects, the faculty is very hands-on in getting involved with students. We have mentors for not only our students but our teaching staff as well. They have vast industrial experience who introduce certain practices that do not restrict students to attain only theoretical knowledge. Regular teacher training programs help them to upscale their knowledge at the same time. We share case studies with students corresponding to what is being taught in class. Months long vocational training is provided in industry campuses for students/staff.

Any insights into how your college could be more welcoming to students?

“Free accommodation in the college campus, scholarship opportunities, and providing library books”

The students of MMCT wear a uniform. It is not just about wearing a blazer that has the logo of the institution but a proper uniform. It does not mean we do not allow our students to have the liberty to wear what they prefer, but we urge to establish a sense of equality amongst them. When you wear a uniform, it simply shows togetherness and unity. We treat every student as a potential resource and an asset to society by providing a congenial environment where people are not differentiated anyway. We provide various facilities without any charges during their studies, creating career assessments for them based on their own abilities and talents and assisting them in goal planning have been our known USPs.

What are some of the challenges for the higher education sector currently?

“To address the crisis of experienced teachers with the highest priority by attracting youngsters”

The biggest challenge in today’s world is the paradigm shift while gaining the experience which makes choosing higher education irrelevant. Often when youth are picking their major it is based on today’s decision or trend that they see. However, when they step into the job market they might see supersedes in their earlier interest and then higher education knowledge and effort do not seem very pertinent. Revolutionary change is not at all prohibited but if the learning is more application-oriented, they can decide better from the beginning about their higher education.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

Efforts and commitment towards your future sets you apart from the competition”

I believe everyone is capable of doing great things. So, I would say each one should work on their goals, try and improve them daily. If not much then at least 1% improvement each day will pay them a lot in the future. There is a rapid change in technology and industry trends; the youth can utilize their time while studying to keep themselves updated with relevant technologies. This way they would never feel out of sync when they step into the job market after graduation. It is also okay to make mistakes as long as we keep learning from them and not end up repeating them.

What are some plans that you’re currently (or will be) designing for MM College of Technology?

MOUs with reputed Universities and Corporate Sectors depending on the need”

We have international experts from the fields of industry and education in the Advisory Board of the Institute. They not only mentor our students and staff for upgrading with advanced technologies but also are the policymakers for our international affairs. They take the responsibility for viable MOUs with reputed Universities and Corporate Sectors depending on the call of the current times. In addition to highest grade placements, it makes our students readily acceptable to the recent market. We are in process of expanding our connectivity with the finance sector also, other than software, hardware and manufacturing ventures under the guidance of our international mentors.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your college?

“By making an effort towards being a good listener and openly communicating with each other”

At MMCT we believe to upgrade and remodel the conventional way of education. We believe that education is not limited to books and a classroom; also it is not only about passing examinations. Since its inception, MMCT encourages healthy two-way communication between students and teachers within the framework. We always emphasize generating and developing innovative ways of learning. The faculties are highly qualified and regularly trained by experts to deliver inspirational and high-quality coaching. We, altogether, are socially very active in and around the campus by providing educational support for economically disadvantaged classes, empowering youth with vocational/skill development training.
