Being a faculty of the EEE department, what is your role towards the students?

“Helping and Motivating Students is my sole responsibility”

I give my free time to students to enhance and learn coding and designing to get electrical plans using MATLAB/Simulink/PSPICE software. As I am also In charge of the College NSS team under which students are motivated to do so many social service activities like helping poor people, blood donation camps, dental camps, visiting schools and solving the children’s needs. 

What valuable advice would you like to give to the students to have a prosperous career ahead?

“Knowledge upgradation is a continuous process with no end” 

According to me, being practical is more important than being theoretical because many of the discoveries and inventions came from experimentation, which is the application of practical knowledge . 

What interventions and approaches do you bring in to teach the students?

“Incubation centre is established to enhance the entrepreneur skills of students”

We have made internship mandatory in the curriculum to make the students more interactive with industry and exposure to industry environment and we conduct guest lectures and workshops in every semester by eminent industry persons. We have introduced Foreign languages and banking and insurance related subjects in our curriculum for overall development of students.

What would you say are the best practices in the courses you are offering?

“A mentor-mentee system is followed to cater the individual’s needs”

The College focuses on serving the community through various Outreach programs initiated by the students and staff. Every department has an association that functions efficiently under the guidance of a faculty and various department activities and competitions are organized by the Association enhancing their leadership skills.

Do you offer any extracurricular activities to enhance the skills of the students?

“We conduct various events at the State or National level”

We have a college NSS in which every year minimum 12 programs were conducted some of them are blood donation, dental camps for villagers, Eye camps, Training for village uneducated people with free of cost like English training computer training, adopting schools and providing them some needs etc.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?

“The college follows a Participative Management approach in administration”

In support of the management the faculty in committees coordinate various activities of the College like admission, conduct of exams and maintaining discipline etc. The College is student centric where the principal and the faculty are easily approachable and available for the students even after the working hours. Opportunities are provided for students to express their opinion and thoughts creating a friendly atmosphere in the campus.
