What are your roles and responsibilities towards your students?

“Providing Students with best online educational content in the Pandemic Times”

If you look into the current scenario during the pandemic and post-pandemic, the role of a faculty has been very challenging. So initially it was quite sorted eke, for example, a faculty will go to his classroom, take chalk and start teaching and engaging students by asking for doubts and making them understand with some set of activities but now the scenario is different it has changed a lot. We have adopted some new learning methods shifting to online mode of teaching. So the digital presence has much increased, it has two sides first one is about the learner, we have to the digital material content in such a manner that the learner does not get distracted from the classes and the second one is we have to also keep the digital material incompetence to other organization to make it a success. One thing I would like to mention is that now a day everything is available on Google or over the web. So the point is that it is the job of the teacher to make it easier for students though students are now not into remembering everything no need to mug it up rather making them crystal clear about the very important concepts and a challenge for a faculty. This should be the focus rather than being a facilitator, not a teacher.

How do you establish healthy relationships with the students and your faculty members?

“Encouraging Students and Teachers to join interactive doubt sessions”

This is the very moral side of the story and it depends upon the attitude of the teachers on how to handle the students. We as a faculty have to understand that what is the need of the students, I want to cite an example suppose there are 5 children of a mother and the same food is not prepared for everyone, a different individual has different choices, very necessary for a faculty to understand the taste of every student and then deliver what is happening because if the 100 ratios of students we take out of that 10 are very intelligent 20-30 are average and rest below than the average so, the focus needs to be a shift from below than the average, there is a right choice for a need, who needs what and what manner it is to be delivered. For those students who are smart, they just need to be motivated but at the same time for those, the below-average faculty must stand at the back and give them the motivational kick. Talking about the relation with fellow faculty then as per me there should not be any discrimination of seniority, there should be a western culture.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach to subjects?

“Providing Students with Industrial projects and research related learning”

The teachers don’t teach, students do learn is my philosophy because if I go on teaching to students until and unless the students have interest in the subjects otherwise it is completely year less and it will go to dump so, what we have to do is that we have to only ignite the spark and passion for that particular subject, interest, the knowledge for the subjects and also very few topics not related to syllabus and when one’s learned the first don’t limit yourself for the particular subject think differently and design the thinking accordingly. This has to be imbibed with students at any cost and if they are innovative teachers have to study their state of mind so in examination their performance is a little bit lagging but in the industry, they will do well with their potential innovative skills.

What are your views on higher education and Placement opportunities?

“One should study up to his/her last limit and then go for placement”

I think that when you have got an opportunity to read the studies it is the best time to go on studying until unless you need to stop. So if you study for a degree and immediately get placement it is a bad scenario but if you can afford to study then you should study up to your last limit whatever you can afford and then go for placements because by the time you should not worry about placements and it will value you and automatically comes to you.

How do you help your students to cope up with the competitions?

“Providing Students with Skill Enhancement Programmes and Courses”

So to cope with today’s competition I always tell them and make them understand one thing that these policies are applicable in two scenarios. Earlier there was a saying that Jack of all Trades is Master of None: so focus on one thing if you focus on too many things at a time you will get distracted and you will excel in none. This is the age of the competition you should be Jack of all Trades, you should do too many things simultaneously like for example you should be good at study, at the same time you should be good at dancing and gardening, etc. you should be good at everything but you need be to be Master of One Trade.

Do you face any challenges while lifting the core education at your department?

“Keeping myself motivated was the biggest challenge for me while lifting the education of my department”

Challenges are always there. Without these, it would not be possible to sustain and exist. Challenges need to be taken in different ways. So I always ask my students first not to be in negative company or guidance as they always try to pull you down, avoid the people in your surroundings, stick to yourself as you have the potential to do it, try to motivate yourself in hard times, dilute your thoughts or way of thinking. I always advise them to watch at least one motivational video every day to keep them in a positive state of mind so it works like a battery. When you listen to it you get charged up full of positive energy.

What advice would you like to give students to have a prosperous career ahead?

“Students must have five circles to excel in his/her life”

I tell them that you have five circles to excel in your life. First of all, is your circle that you are going to earn for yourself, second is your family, the third one is your parents and the fourth one is your society and the fifth is for global humanity.
