Sri Ramanathan Engineering College (SREC), Erode was established in 2008.College has been managed by  M/S Narayanasamy Educational Trust, Which is a charitable Trust Founded by Lion.N.Ramanathan Chettiyar, who was an industrialist cum philanthropist. The holistic approach of the college stimulates innovation among students by inspiring fresh ideas with different perceptiveness, creative thinking and strong conviction to achieve true success.
