What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“My curiosity to work with the young mind keeps me connected with the education sector”

There are many factors that keeps me connected with the education sector such as:

  1. Heart-felt passion and love for teaching and education
  2. Guiding students, the future generation of India, to embark upon the right path in building up their career in the days ahead;
  3. The teaching back-ground of my family boosted me up to be in the Profession;
  4. Personal belief and perception that motivating students in studies is a great virtue.

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“An important factor to be an effective leader is to understand from other person’s perspective”

Leadership is the quality of a person that makes other people and associates follow the person in question. However, I believe that leadership is the sheer way of guiding the follower people and getting the assignment done by augmenting subordinates’ innate or inner skill and making them liberal in accomplishing the assigned tasks.As long as the question of describing my nature of leadership is concerned, I would like to say candidly that I believe and recourse to ‘Theory-Y’ of Douglas McGregor’.Sometimes, it is a blending of ‘Theory-X’ & ‘Theory-Y’.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

“Word of mouth policy works the best for us”

As long as the critical programs of an Academic Institution are concerned, there is almost little scope of going beyond the predefined schedule and curriculum of affiliating University and the activities of AICTE, New Delhi. However, some internal programs, like, Internal Assessments of students, facilities of Book Bank and Lending of Books in the Library, Special Remedial and Makeup Classes and other Social and Cultural activities are organized and conducted without hampering the normal Academic Activities of our Institute.

In the event of “Marketing,” I would like to proclaim that we do not believe in providing eye-catching advertisements on social platforms as a part of og Marketing and Promotional activity.

I, individually, realize that imparting good quality education through interactive sessions among Faculties and students and honest devotion of Teachers are sufficient to make the avenue broad enough. All other means of Advertisement are very fragile in comparison to it.

The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. What are your thoughts upon the same?

“We make sure to bring in different learning perspectives for our students to grow”

It is an admitted fact that the system of education In India and abroad is structured differently. So the question of matching up inevitably comes into play. It is mention-worthy that the B. Tech curriculum and the theoretical syllabus of MAKAUT, WB, cater to the practical orientation of industry needs. Thus the Industrial Training and Visits are too relevant to cope up with the Industrial needs. Regularly, we depute our students in different governmental and private organizations to undergo Industrial Training to gain practical based knowledge in tune with the theoretical knowledge learnt. Regularly we send our students on Industrial Visits.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“The university is continuously moving towards bringing technical and upgraded changes in the curriculum”

The affiliating University, namely ‘The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology,’ West Bengal, is continually changing the curriculum of B. Tech course and its syllabus to make it suitable for upcoming days industry-oriented. A significant degree of ethical, political, and spiritual aspects have been incorporated in the syllabus aiming at completeness among Engineering aspirants in recent times. The University seems to have a paradigm shift from Pen & Paper mode of learning to online learning mode requiring extensive and thorough learning of the subject. The University has also introduced some Mandatory curriculum based on an online platform for enabling the students to have extensive knowledge beyond their regular course of studies.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Be honest with your profession”

Being a person associated with an Academic Institution for an extended period, I would like to forward my message to the current and aspiring students that there is no other alternative to honest and in-depth studies. Students must be judicious in selecting the right path for their studies. I would never say that studying in General Stream is a blunder as ‘there is always room at the top,’ may it be the General Stream or Technical area of study. I prefer to say that Technical Studies can be a better option for familiar students to earn their bread quickly. It has a likely possibility of being provided in services.
