Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham to Inaugurate New Campus in Faridabad; Launches 12 UGC Approved Courses

New Delhi: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is all set to start an off-campus centre at Faridabad, Haryana. The deemed-to-be university got approval for 12 courses from the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham has started the following courses in the faridabad campus:

  1. BSc Medical Radio Technology (MRT)
  2. BSc Emergency Medical Technology (EMT)
  3. BSc Intensive Care Technology (MRT)
  4. Master ofHospital Administration
  5. Master of Public Health (MPH)
  6. MSc Bio Statistics
  7. MSc MLT-Pathology
  8. MSc MLT Biochemistry
  9. MSc MLT Microbiology
  10. MSc Molecular Medicine
  11. MSC Nano Biotechnology
  12. MSc Nanosciences and Technology

“The said off-campus shall be reviewed by the Commission after a period of five years from the date of Notification by the Government,” the UGC informed.

The teacher-student ratio should not be less than 1:20 with a faculty strength of not less than 25 teachers and a minimum of 500 proposed students on the rolls under the regular class room mode, of which not less than one third being PG/research students; and at least 3 PG departments with research programmes, a UGC statement said.
