New Delhi: Ambedkar University Delhi successfully completed its inaugural faculty development programme from March 4 to April 29, 2022. The Outreach & Extension Division of AUD organized the event.
Padma Shri awardee and president of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Seva Dal, Dr Jitender Singh Shunty was the chief guest at Ambedkar University Delhi’s Faculty Development Programme closing ceremony which was held on Friday.
The primary purpose of the programme of Ambedkar University Delhi was to analyse the short-term and long-term implications of the pandemic's consequences on numerous professions as well as on human civilization. It was held twice a week from 5 to 7 pm in online mode.
Vice-Chancellor Anu Singh Lather, who presided over the event, stated that the program's goal was to bring together various professionals who shared their experiences during the pandemic, listen to experts, and understand how they had to improve on their professions due to the COVID-19 imposed lockdown.
Recently, AUD has launched a Centre for Research and Archiving in Indian Languages and Indic Knowledge Systems (CRA-ILIKS) under the School of Letters for research on Indian languages. The centre has been created to investigate the working of myriad knowledge systems of pre-colonial India. The university has set up the centre with the financial grant received INR 6 crore from the Art, Culture and Languages Department of the Delhi Government.
