Allahabad University to Conduct Semester and Annual Examinations in Offline Mode


Allahabad University (AU) has announced that the Semester and Annual examinations will be conducted in offline mode. Further enhancement drives will be undertaken for furnishing the NIRF rank of the University.

Prof Sangita Srivastava after her immediate taking over as the new Regular Vice Chancellor of Allahabad University (AU) announced that the half-yearly and semester exams for students will be further held in offline mode.

The half-yearly/semester exams of Allahabad University will be conducted in the month of March and the Annual or final semester examinations will be held in the month of May, respectively.

Srivastava confirms the same with the other faculties at the Dean's meeting in North Hall on January 5,2021. Prof Srivastava also talked about various issues to be resolved and uplifted in the University. The priority is foremost placed at filling up the vacant posts of teachers and Non-teaching staff at the University.

The new VC of Allahabad University further said that steps will be taken to meet the requirements of the departments and labs to help them function in a better way.

For the quality research in the university as well as in its constituent colleges, Prof Srivastava has asked the supervisors to check on the research-papers and thesis of the respective students and speed up the online checking process in order to dispatch them soon. 

Adding the name of the supervisor by respective students in their research-paper will be made compulsory. On the issue of student union on the campus, she said she would take up the call on it as well.

Further, Prof Sangita Srivastava talked about the enhancement of the NIRF ranking of Allahabad University. Prof S.I Rizvi further provided the information on how to fill up the NIRF ranking form.

For the smooth transferring of data to different agencies,a new initiative will be undertaken. Rather than sending data each time differently by a specific department of the University,the data will be collected at a central data bank in the University itself so that it can be sent at once as a whole.

Prof Srivastava said that with an aim of effectively implementing provisions of the New Education Policy, she would like to have a number of brainstorming sessions so that the transformation as envisaged in the policy can be attained, especially making under graduate courses of four-year duration instead of the existing three years besides paving way for students to opt for both science and arts subjects.
