CM Gehlot has claimed on Thursday that both the central and state governments have prioritised the health sector and that there has been a significant rise in the number of seats available for medical programmes.

He has also examined how the state administration was executing the various plans and how hospitals were providing medical care. "MBBS and MD seats have risen. This is a revolution of sorts. Tell me, did we anticipate this kind of transformation coming about ten years ago. Medical colleges used to have between 50 and 100 seats", according to Gehlot.

"Today, the number of medical seats in the nation has increased significantly. The medical industry has captured the interest of the federal and state governments" said he.

The chief minister stated that it is the duty of medical college deans to guarantee that students aspiring to become physicians receive a proper education. He also mentioned that free medical care is offered to citizens in government hospitals under programmes like Chiranjeevi health insurance. He urged the Prime Minister once more to carry out the plan nationwide.

It is necessary for such programmes to provide social security to people through difficult times. Gehlot further instructed officials to maintain the facilities in state government hospitals and make them cleaner. He advised hospital administrators to fine people who spit or litter, seek to shorten wait times, and prioritise cleaning and hygienic improvements in order to provide visitors with high-quality services.

According to the chief minister, there should be healthy rivalry among public hospitals about upkeep and cleanliness. He claimed that private hospitals are "looting" the public and that this behaviour needs to be reined in. Private hospitals, according to him, should adopt a humane attitude even when they operate with commercial goals. The chief minister expressed unhappiness over reports of poorly maintained amenities, such as toilets, in numerous hospitals, saying that bed sheets should be changed every day and that hygiene should never be compromised.

To deal with these issues, he argued, innovations are required. To improve the administration and facilities while providing patients with high-quality care, hospitals should develop and adhere to a code of conduct. Gehlot stressed the value of research and noted that due to the US's superior medical services, the country's doctors conduct a lot of research. He suggested that this procedure be used here as well. Gehlot stated that police should learn more about post-Covid difficulties and that he often posts new material on social media to inform people.
