AICTE Declared C-DAC's New Upskilling Program to Empower Educators Through Social Media


New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is offering reskilling and upskilling programmes, according to a circular that the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has distributed to affiliated colleges, universities, and institutions (MeitY).

The program's primary goal is to give hands-on training experience to educators in teaching strategies using social media platforms, learning digital tools and techniques and their utility to enhance their productivity at an affordable price.

The students will get knowledge about digital tools and methods that will increase their productivity. After paying the course fee of INR 688, the 90-hour programme will have recorded sessions with assignments and tests that may be accessed. 

The programme fee is Rs 75 and the assessment and certification fee is an additional Rs 509 while the effective fee after availing incentive for digital upskilling is Rs 45. The learning batches are schedules bi-monthly. The current batch started its one-hour daily sessions on November 7, 2022

In the meantime, students have been warned by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and AICTE that it will not recognise online PhD programmes created by edtech companies in partnership with foreign institutes or universities. Before applying for admission, prospective students and the general public are urged to confirm the legitimacy of PhD programmes in accordance with UGC Regulation 2016 "There was a notice.

According to the UGC notice issued by AICTE in October, universities must abide by the UGC laws and their revisions when awarding doctoral degrees to their students.
