New Delhi: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Chairman, Anil Sahasrabudhe has announced that the AICTE will soon release the regulations for hybrid learning.

Speaking at a programme on Hybrid Learning Workshop for college leaders in Bengaluru by AICTE and Tech Avant Garde, last week, the chairman said that the council would shortly specify details and outline the aspects including the infrastructure, do's and don'ts, faculty training, among others.
AICTE Chairman Anil revealed that the council is all set to start a National Educational Technology Forum, which will be a platform for all the stakeholders to share their teaching pedagogy, curriculum, or teaching materials and learning resources with others.
According to Sahasrabudhe, the regulations for the current academic year 2022–2023 also mandate that students who leave a course after two years receive a diploma certificate and a second bridging course, allowing for several exit possibilities.
He advised the schools to not ignore the fundamental engineering branches, claiming that if AI takes off, there will be a saturation point where the institutions can encourage the students to pursue fundamental disciplines as well as minor programmes in new age programmes along with core disciplines.
B Thimme Gowda, Vice-chairman, Karnataka State Higher Education Council, who was also present at the occasion said that one of the biggest challenges in introducing hybrid learning will be to take teachers into confidence, there'll be initial reluctance, which will have to be overcome.
