The interdisciplinary German-Russian studies are a binational, modularized course. German students can start their studies without any previous knowledge of Russian. There are advanced modules for students with previous knowledge. All students spend the first and second of a total of four academic years at their home universities. In the second year of study, an internship is completed to gain initial professional experience abroad. They go through the third year together in Regensburg. In the fourth year of study, students switch to the Kazan Federal University. Upon successful completion, they receive a German and a Russian Bachelor's degree.

- Passing score in entrance exam
- Proof of academic transcripts
- Resume
- Copy of the passport is required.
- For applicants from China, Mongolia and Vietnam APS certificate is required.
