The study of ancient Greek aims at a comprehensive overview of Greek literature and its cultural context from its beginnings (Homer) to late antiquity. The main areas of study are in the following areas: basic language, training in reading skills in the original, in-depth knowledge of various specialist authors. The culture of antiquity is to be recorded in its historical dimension, but also to be developed in its afterlife, which is still effective today.
