- The increasingly clear change from classic work processes to knowledge-based processes and decisions presents new challenges for practical management as well as for the state and social framework in which economic decisions are made. Decisions in and for companies require constant reflection a larger context in which economic subject areas are interwoven with non-economic contexts.
- Leadership and decision-making as the core business competencies of management must, therefore, be discussed and evaluated in an ethical manner, based on the values that guide them. They are indispensable in many existing fields of work and action and will gain additional value as new fields emerge.
- The subject management as part of the Masters in Culture and Society offers students the opportunity to develop these core competencies and acquire in-depth knowledge of corporate management within a cultural studies course.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
A prerequisite for admission to the course is a first professional university degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters at the University of Paderborn or a state or state-recognized university or a state or state-recognized vocational academy. The degree must include at least course content in the following areas and scopes:
- 10 LP statistics and quantitative methods
- 40 LP business administration, including 20 LP management
- 10 LP Bachelor thesis
