The four-semester master’s program combines academic theory with practical journalism, thus qualifying graduates for a broad range of challenging roles in media and equipping them with a knowledge of methodology and the latest research in the field of communication.
Students also work together to prepare media products in project workshops—from magazines and online portals to entire radio and TV shows.
Internships undertaken during the program enable students to gain hands-on experience and establish contacts with editorial offices.

There are no tuition fees for students. Only Semester contribution fee.

There is no tuition fees. The semester fee for the winter semester 2019/20 is € 328.00.

Following are the admission requirements for this degree program:

The first degree in either journalism/communication studies or media studies with a social science emphasis, or a social science subject with a journalism/communication studies emphasis (minimum of credit points in each)
Proof of sufficient knowledge of empirical social research methods (minimum of credit points)
Pre-study internship
Proficiency in English
