The “Magister for lawyers with a foreign degree” is a one-year postgraduate degree program for the attainment of the internationally-recognized title of Magister Legum (LLM).
The program targets students who received law qualifications outside of Germany and equivalent to the German First Law Exam.
The program familiarizes students with German law, imparting either general knowledge of German law or specialist knowledge of a single field of law. It also gives students an opportunity to learn more about the German language and German culture.

There are no tuition fees for students. Only Semester contribution fee.

There is no tuition fees. The semester contribution for the 2019/20 winter semester is €328.

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

Students must have a law degree from a foreign university equivalent in kind and extent to German law degrees.
Students must be proficient in German in order to follow courses and to pass exams.
