The bachelor's degree in art history teaches basic skills in dealing with works of art from the early Middle Ages to the present. This includes in particular skills in the analysis and interpretation of art-historical objects with regard to origin, form, content, and meaning. In addition, the bachelor's degree provides key qualifications that enable students to critically assess their specialist knowledge with regard to scientific, social or ethical questions and, for example, to impart it to an interested public.
