Formed by the merger of the University of Wittenberg and the Friedrichs University of Halle, Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg is the largest and oldest university in Saxony-Anhalt. It provides nearly 260 programs in humanities, social sciences and medical sciences. The university is home to more than 20,806 students with 1,745 international students.

Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg accepts fresh applications for the summer and winter semesters. German Visa Process for International Students

International students who come from outside the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland and wish to enroll in a program longer than 3 months must apply for a residence permit to study in Germany.
