- Scientific thinking and an understanding of the geodynamic processes in the interior and on the surface of the earth form the basis for competent problem solving, e.g. in the discovery, processing, and evaluation of mineral raw materials and materials, groundwater development and energy supply.
- On the other hand, the focus is also on the planning and evaluation of anthropogenic interventions in the geosphere: the construction of buildings, the disposal of waste and wastewater, the assessment of geo-risks and future-oriented use of resources.
