Bachelor of Science [B.S] (Human Biology)
Field of Study:
The Bachelor's degree in human biology qualifies graduates very specifically for biomedical research. Of particular note is the interdisciplinary character of the course, which is made up of subjects from the medical, mathematical and natural science faculties. Worthy of particular mention here are immunology, anatomy, human biochemistry, microbiology, human physiology, and pharmacology. A bachelor's thesis can be written in all of these subjects. The graduates work in the pharmaceutical industry as well as at universities and other academic research institutions.

Tuition Fees
The University of Greifswald does not demand a typical tuition fee. Students have to pay 82 USD per semester as Semester contribution and 107 USD once as enrolment fee.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Prior to commencing studies, students will be required to provide proof of German language proficiency. The following certificates are recognized by the University of Greifswald for applications to a full degree course:
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber’ (DSH) at least level 2*
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz’ (level 2)
- the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 from the Goethe Institute
- the ‘Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache’ (Test DaF), at least level 4 in all partial examinations*
- the certificate ‘telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule’
- a completed degree in German Studies, an assessment test with German as an examination subject.
