Master [Criminology, Criminalistics and Police Science] From Ruhr University Bochum

Academic Eligibility:

• A Bachelor or comparable degree in the following disciplines:
  • criminology
  • Social work
  • Social pedagogy
  • psychology   
  • law  
  • Political science   
  • Social science  
  • Police science   
  • and the law enforcement service
• A completed technical college or university degree, e.g. B. in law or social sciences, medicine, educational sciences etc. are also admitted police officers and Police officers with (at least) a degree from a university of applied sciences, social workers, Educators and others who have a suitable university or technical college degree (e.g. master's degree, diploma, state examination).
• At least one year of relevant work experience (in a relevant course of study Field of work).
  • In addition to police officers who are already active as criminologists or who want to do so in the near future, the target group of the elective area forensics are, above all, lawyers (public prosecutors, judges, Defense lawyers) as well as employees of private security service providers or companies that want to deal more intensively with criminalistic content.
  • For those who are not yet interested have sufficient basic knowledge in the field of criminology, there is the possibility of Attend additional seminars at the Kripo-Akademie in order to achieve the necessary admission requirements.
• Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English.

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

• Most of the courses at the RUB are held in German. Students must therefore have sufficient knowledge of German and provide evidence by obtaining one of the following language certificates:
  • TestDaF with at least 16 points within an examination
  • DSH (level 2 or 3)
  • German Language Diploma - DSD - II
  • ZOP or Goethe Certificate C2 from the Goethe Institute
  • KDS or GDS from the Goethe Institute
  • ÖSD language diploma C1
  • telc German C1 Hochschule
  • Assessment test (examination part German)

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
