- Social science deals with social issues and problems of human coexistence, starting with the smallest unit of relationships and organizations to complex (rule) systems.
- The course combines political science and sociology with different weightings in two selectable focus variants. The core program of the major in political science includes the areas of political theory, state and domestic politics, international politics, comparative political science and European governance.
- The core program in Major Sociology is divided into the areas of sociological theories, microsocial structures, macrosocial structures, economic and organizational sociology and (further) special sociologies.
