The Osnabrück biology consists of the fields of biochemistry, didactics of biology, biophysics, botany, genetics, microbiology, molecular cell biology, neurobiology, ecology, plant physiology, animal physiology, behavioral biology and zoology.
- As an essential element that is not available at other universities in this way, the bachelor's degree course "Biology" includes a common core curriculum in biology with its own teaching content from mathematics, chemistry and physics.
- After a basic module, there is a specialization in the subjects of biochemistry, botany, genetics and zoology.
- The subjects biophysics, microbiology, neurobiology, ecology, plant physiology, animal physiology and behavioral biology offer further options. From the fifth semester, students specialize in two subject areas and complete their studies with a four-month, usually research-oriented, empirical bachelor thesis.
