According to a recent survey by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education, there will be an estimated 1.8 million people shortage in the cyber-security industry by 2022. The results of the current Global Information Security Workforce (GISWS) study also show that 70 percent of companies in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region do not have enough IT security personnel to meet their security needs, which affects economic security.
Current endeavors, such as autonomous driving, industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT), are leading to a completely new level of networking of the most diverse digital systems, resulting in very high demands on the security of such systems and networks.
The program provides a practice-oriented course of studies together with students from other disciplines and sets up their course of studies after the industrial internship in the fifth semester in such a way that it optimally suits them.
