SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2022 is defined by Symbiosis International University (SIU). To be eligible for SNAP 2022, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream with minimum aggregate marks of 50% (45% for SC/ ST). Check SNAP 2022 Registration

Final year students can also apply for SNAP 2022 provided they submit the required documents of graduation before the final selection process of SNAP.

Foreign nationals/ OCI/ PIO candidates need to obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to be eligible to appear for SNAP 2022.

SIIB Master of Business Administration (Agri Business)

Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University/Institution of National Importance and more likely than a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.

Candidates appearing for final year examination can also apply, however their admission will be subject to acquiring at least 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes).

SNAP Reservation

SNAP 2022 Reservation Policy

Following is the reservation policy for SNAP 2022 admission for any program:

  1. Scheduled Castes Candidates: (15% of seats within the sanctioned admission) The University has given reservations to the extent of 15 % for all its academic programs to Scheduled Castes Candidates, as scheduled under Article 341 of the Constitution.
  2. Scheduled Tribes Candidates: (7.5% of seats within the sanctioned admission) University has given to reservation to the extent of 7.5 % for all its academic programs to Scheduled Castes Candidates, as scheduled under Article 342 of the Constitution.
  3. Differently Abled Candidates: (3% of seats within the sanctioned admission) In consistence with the Government directives on Disability Guidelines issued by the Office of the Chief Commissioner for people with handicaps vide Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi notification no. 16-18/97 on 1st June 2001, The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 dated 27th December 2016 and University Grants Commission Notification No. F.6-1/2006 (CPP-II/SCT) dated 30/09/2009, the University has made provision of reserving 3% seats for Differently Abled Category (DAC) candidates taking all things together its Constituents.

Seat Reservation within Intake

Children/ Wards of Defence personnel / Defence Special Category: children / Wards of Defence personnel mean children/ wards of that Defence Personnel who are serving/retired Defence personnel from Army, Navy, Air Force. Retired Defence personnel are those who fall in the category of ex-servicemen as set down in Ministry of Defence letter no. 36035/5/85-Est (SCT) dated 14 April 1987. It also includes children of Defence personnel, who died while in service or after retirement.

The University regarding the provisions of Memorandum of Association (MoA) among Symbiosis and Ministry of defense, Govt. of India dated 10th July 2000 provides reservations up to the degree of 90% for the Master of Business Administration program of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), comprising 80 % for Children/Wards of defense faculty and 10 % for Special defense Category.The University also gives 5 % reservation within the sanctioned intake for Children/Wards of defense Personnel in Constituents are as followed: -

  1. MBA (International Business) programme conducted by Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), Pune
  2. MBA (Digital and Telecom Management) programme conducted by Symbiosis Institute of Digital & Telecom Management (SIDTM), Pune
  3. MBA (Information Technology Business Management) programme conducted by Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT), Pune
  4. MBA (Information Technology) programme conducted by Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research (SICSR), Pune.

Domiciled: (25% of seats within the sanctioned intake- Only in case of Constituents at Off-Campus centre, Nagpur) As per Clause A of Schedule C of the Lease Deed signed between Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur and Symbiosis, Pune on 4th September, 2017, the University has reserved 25% seats against the approved intake in each program offered at the Off campus Centre of the University at Nagpur for Nagpur Domiciled applicants.

If shortlisted for a program applied to based on the cut offs, the candidate would then have to take part in the further admission process (GE-PIWAT) of that particular program.

Ques: Is dual degree management student are eligible for SNAP?

Ans: Yes, a student with a dual degree can also apply for SNAP. They must have secured a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks.

Ques: Can final year students be eligible for giving SNAP?

Ans: Yes, final year students are eligible for SNAP provided they submit the qualification degrees and mark sheet before the final admission.

Ques: What are the changes introduced in SNAP exam?

Ans: There are four major changes:

  • In the past, candidates can register either through online mode or through offline mode but now, Registration is done only in online mode.
  • SNAP was Pen paper-based exam but now, it is a Computer-based exam
  • Registration fee is increased from INR 1750 to INR 1950
  • Number of questions is now decreased to 60
