HPCET 2023 Syllabus has been released for B.Tech and M.Tech courses. The syllabus for admission to the B.Tech program is based on the intermediate level and consists of three sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. HPCET 2023 Syllabus for admission to the M.Tech program is based on graduate-level consists of three sections namely- general aptitude, engineering mathematics, and specialization subject.
HPCET 2023 will be conducted on July 9 and July 10, 2023. The exam will be conducted in the English language and in offline mode.The syllabus is set by the conducting body of the examination namely- Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HIMTU). HPCET is held for admission to B.Tech and M.Tech courses in colleges affiliated with HPTU. The syllabus is different for both UG and PG courses. HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test) is a state-level test conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur.

HPCET 2023 Syllabus for B.Tech
Candidates must be passed in 12th standard with PCM subjects to be eligible to apply for the B.Tech course. HPCET 2023 for B.Tech entrance comprises three sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
It consists of 150 questions in the exam. The total duration of the exam is three hours. Each question carries two marks and there is a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer. The section-wise syllabus for HPCET 2023 is as follows:

HPCET 2023 Syllabus for M.Tech
To apply for the M.Tech course, they must have B.Tech in Civil/ CSE/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering. General aptitude and Engineering mathematics are the common section in all the M.Tech. Entrance paper.
There will be a total of 100 questions in the exam. Two marks will be rewarded for every correct response and one-fourth marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.
Candidates need to solve the paper in three hours. The syllabus for the M.Tech entrance of HPCET includes three sections which are given below:
General Aptitude
- Verbal Ability - English grammar, sentence completion, verbal analogies, word groups, instructions, critical reasoning and verbal deduction.
- Numerical Ability - Numerical computation, numerical estimation, numerical reasoning and data interpretation.
Engineering Mathematics
