Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Automobile Engineering)

The course structure is designed in such a way, that students learn theoretical and practical knowledge of different fields that are covered in the study of automobile engineering. The main subject areas are- Engine systems, electronics and control systems, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, mechanism of vehicle chassis, internal combustion Engine, electrical systems etc.

Following is the basic course structure in most of the engineering institutes in India-

  • Course Work -  Classroom Lectures , Labs and Workshops
  • Training          -   Internship ,  Industrial Visit and Training
  • Placement      -  Campus Placement in Private Sector

In most of the engineering institutes, first year of every branch has common subjects. Second year onwards the specialization starts. Thus the first year courses are similar for everyone.

Following is the common syllabus for automobile engineering; these subjects are prescribed by most of the engineering colleges in India-
