VIPS offers a plethora of undergraduate and post-graduate level courses under its four different schools, viz. Vivekananda Law School, Vivekananda School of Information Technology, Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication and Vivekananda School of Business Studies. There are seven UG programs and two PG programs that are currently being offered by the institute in several disciplines.
All courses are run as per directions given by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) located in Pitampura, Delhi was established in 1997.
- All candidates must apply through IPU CET for admission to any of the courses offered by VIPS.
- Application forms for IPU CET can be submitted online through Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University website.
- Payment of application fees, which amounts to INR 1000 per course, can be paid online via BillDesk payment gateway using a credit/debit card or net-banking.
- Candidates who meet the minimum cut-off mark in IPU CET will need to attend the University’s counselling for further processing of his/her admission.
- Selection of candidates is done through counselling conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
- All candidates must appear for the respective CET for the course applied and only IPU-CET qualified candidates are eligible for admission.

VIPS offers full-time undergraduate level degree programs in the disciplines of Law, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Applications and Journalism and Mass Communication. Selection of candidates is done through GGSIPU counselling on the basis of marks/ rank secured by the candidate in respective IPU-CET.
The basis eligibility criteria for admission to these programs is a pass in 10+2 with English as subject and minimum 50% marks.

Key Points for Admission:
- For admission to BCA program, the candidate must have English and Mathematics or Computer Science/ Informatics Practice/ Computer Applications/ Multimedia and Web Technology/ Data Management Application/ Web Application at 10+2 level.
- GGSIPU- CET is a common entrance exam conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for admission to both UG and PG level courses offered by the university and affiliated colleges/ institutions.
- The university further conducts a counselling where seats are allotted on the basis of marks/ rank obtained by the candidate in the CET.
VIPS LLM and MCA Admission 2023
The institute currently offers full-time MCA and LL.M. degrees under its PG program in which selection is done through marks/ rank secured by the candidate in IPU – CET.
The basis eligibility criteria for admission to the MCA program is a BCA degree or a graduate degree in the relevant or allied discipline (BIT or BIS) with Mathematics and English at 10+2. For LL.M. program, candidates must have a LL.B. degree with minimum 50% marks.

Key Points for Admission:
- MCA candidates must have Mathematics and English at 10+2 level as one of the basic eligibility criteria.
- Students applying through management quota are not required to appear for CET.
- The minimum marks eligibility criterion is relaxed for SC/ST candidates by 5%.
VIPS Application Process 2023
Candidates seeking admission to any of the courses offered by VIPS must apply through a common entrance exam conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University i.e. IPU-CET. The university allows only for online mode of application form submission.
- Prospective candidates can apply online by visiting GGSIP University’s official website.
- The online application form must be duly filled and scanned copies of all requisite documents such as passport size photo, signature etc. must be uploaded as indicated in the information brochure.
- Upon successful submission of the application form, registration ID and password is generated for use in future references.
- A sum of INR 1000 is to be paid as application fees on or before the last date. Payment can be done through BillDesk (payment gateway) using a credit/ debit card or internet banking.
- Candidates who have successfully complete application submission and application fees payment are issued admit cards for use in CET exam-hall.
- Seats are allotted during GGSIPU counselling based on marks/ rank secured by the candidate in IPU- CET.
- Original and two photocopies of the following documents must be brought for counselling/ interview for the applicant’s candidature to be valid:

VIPS Reservation 2023
Reservation is provided to all eligible candidates based on merit and is subject to norms set by the Government of India. Seats in VIPS are reserved as per the following norms:
- 85% seats are reserved for Delhi Region Candidates, i.e. those who have passed the qualifying examination from any school/Institute located in NCT of Delhi.
- 15% seats are reserved for Outside Delhi Region Candidates, i.e. those who have passed the qualifying examination from any school/ Institute located outside Delhi.
