Shankarrao Chavan Law College was established in the years 1967 by the former Home Minister of India, the Late Shri Shankarrao Chavan. It is located in Pune, Maharashtra. It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and recognized by the Bar Council of India.

SCLC offers undergraduate courses in law, namely five-year BA LLB degree course and a three-year LLB degree course. Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent can apply for the BA LLB program. Candidates who have passed in graduation from any stream can apply for LLB program. NRIs and foreign students with valid pass certificates from any recognized university in their country are also eligible.
Applicants need to appear for the MAH-CET for law entrance examination and participate in the CAP counselling conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. On the basis of a candidate’s academic merit and entrance test score, merit list is drawn.

SCLC offers one-year Diploma programs in Taxation Law (D.T.L), Labour Laws and Labour Welfare (D. LL and LW), Consumer Protection Laws (D.C.P.L), Cyber Laws (D.C.L), Human Rights Laws (D.H.R.L) and Forensic and Medical Jurisprudence (CCF and MJ). The college also offers two-year LLM course to the candidates.
The minimum eligibility for LLM is passed in BA LLB or LLB program from a recognized university. For Diploma course, the candidate must pass a Graduate degree from a recognized board/university.
Admission to both Diploma and LLM course is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
