DAV College Facilities 

Library: The library of DAV college is probably the most well maintained, well equipped and up to date library in Jalandhar. The library is very spacious and houses a whopping 2 lakh texts,reference books, encyclopedias on a variety of subjects. The library also provides the facility of a digital library which offers more than 3000 E-Journals, 75000 E- books and many other e-resources which cater to the needs of the students. The library also provides the facility of a book bank to benefit the economically weak students. 

Cafeteria: DAV college houses 3 well maintained cafeterias across the campus for the faculty, students and staff. The cafeterias are spacious, well maintained and serve a variety of delicious food items so that the students can unwind and relax between their hectic schedules. Everything in the cafeteria is duly taken care of, right from the cleanliness, hygiene, price and quality of the food items. 

In house hospital: To ensure proper healthcare for the students, staff and faculty of the college as well as the hostel, DAV college provides the facility of a well structured and well equipped hospital in the premises itself. The hospital provides decent services such as separate restrooms for boys and girls, medicines at discounted prices etc. 

Sports: DAV College has quite an excellent track record when it comes to physical education and sports. The department of physical education is the pride of the college and has made consistent progress throughout the years. 

• It has been led by many notable sportspersons in the past and has produced top players in games like football, hockey, cricket, basketball, badminton, tennis etc.
• On top of that, the players have also been recipients of prestigious sports awards awards in India like the Arjuna awards and Dronacharya awards. Also, many players have also been part of the Olympics and also represented India at the international level. 
• With a stunning sports area of 17.5 acres, the College has well developed football/cricket/hockey fields and tennis/basketball/badminton/volleyball/handball courts.
• The college also consists of 2 expansive swimming pools, indoor gymnasium, indoor shooting range and a jogging track. 
• If you wish to study physical education and gain a deeper knowledge about the subject, then the college also offers physical education as an optional subject with an excellent faculty to teach the course.

Hostel: DAV College also provides hostel facilities for it’s outstation students to give them the feeling of home away from home. 

To accommodate the maximum students, the college has five hostels - 3 for boys and 2 for girls. The intake capacity is as follows:

1. Lakhpat Rai Hostel — 175 rooms
2. Mehr Chand Hostel — 198 rooms
3. Sports Hostel (for boys) — 14 rooms
4. Girls Hostel (Old) — 103 rooms
5. Girls Hostel (New) — 38 rooms

The hostel provides many basic as well as modern facilities to ensure a comfortable and homely stay for the students. The facilities are - 

• Geysers, RO water drinking system, 24 hours backup, well maintained washrooms, AC rooms, WiFi facility, round O clock security system etc.
• Well equipped health care center and frequent college hospital doctor visits to cater to students health issues. 
• General stores, stationery shops, shopping centres, banks and ATMs all located at a minute's distance from the college. 
• Each hostel has a mess which provides nutritious, healthy, hygienic and quality food to the students. All the mess have an expansive dining area to create a homely vibe and promote bonding amongst students.
• The hostel also has many recreational facilities such as indoor games room, yoga centre, open air theatre, a reading room and a recreational room with a LCD and a music system to enjoy, relax and rejuvenate amongst all the hustle and bustle.
