Course Details

At the postgraduate level College of Commerce, Arts & Science offers a cluster of courses in various fields of Science, Arts, Commerce, Library Science and Postgraduate Diploma.

The M.Sc (Master of Science) degree program is offered in six different specializations namely Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology. The duration for each of the M.Sc courses is two years each.

Candidates who wish to seek admission to the M.Sc program must hold a B.Sc degree in a relevant discipline of Science to be considered eligible for admission. However, candidates who wish to seek admission to the M.Sc in Biotechnology course must hold a B.Sc in Biotechnology or a Graduation degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate to be considered eligible for admission.

Admission to all the M.Sc courses barring M.Sc in Biotechnology is done on the basis of merit of candidates in the qualifying Bachelor’s degree examination. Admission to M.Sc. in Biotechnology is done on the basis of performance of candidates in the Entrance Test which is conducted by the institute.

M.A. (Master of Arts) and Master of Commerce (M.Com) aspirants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline of Arts or Commerce to be considered eligible to take part in the process of admission.
