UDMRI offers a five-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course approved by the Dental Council of India and the degree is granted by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University Srinagar. To qualify, candidates must secure at least 50% marks in 10+2 examinations conducted by U.P board or any other recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.
Seats offered for the BDS course are divided into 2 categories- Management quota and State quota. 60% of the seats are filled under management quota through a combined Medical Examination conducted by an association of all private colleges in Uttarakhand. Those who have appeared for NEET UG can also apply for admission under management quota. State quota seats are filled by the State Government and candidates have to appear for the Uttarakhand Pre-Medical Test (UPMT) in order to be eligible.
Candidates must obtain the application form from the college or request for it through post by sending a self-addressed envelope with a postal stamp worth INR 100 on it. Candidates can also apply online on the college website. The duly filled forms must be submitted along with attested photocopies of 10+2/graduation mark sheets and certificates, 10th standard certificates at DOB proof, UPMT/ Medical admission test score card and conduct certificate.
A merit list is drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam and entrance test score. Shortlisted candidates must appear for counselling at the college and get their documents verified for admission confirmation.

The Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) course offered by the college is completed over a period of three-year and program is approved by the Dental Council of India. Candidate must pass BDS degree from a recognized university.
