CMC Ludhiana M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

All NEET qualified candidates applying in any Category are required to apply to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (State Counselling Authority), as per the details given on their website, www.bfuhs.ac.in, by the due date.

Aspirants seeking admission under Christian Minority category can apply directly on the university website. Candidates are advised to follow the given steps in order to fill the application form correctly:

1. Log on to www.cmcludhiana.in and navigate to Admissions 2020 and click on Admissions.
2. Fill in and Print the Application Form, Fill and Send to The Registrar, Christian Medical College Ludhiana. 
3. After filling the Application form, attach two copies of your recent passport photographs in the appropriate space provided. 
4. Send along with the 
   1. Church membership certificate 
   2. Baptism certificate 
   3. Letter of Service Commitment from Body/Church of the CMC Ludhiana Society.

5. Attach the Demand draft for Rs.2000/-, ‘in favor of ‘Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society’, payable at Ludhiana.
6. Send the completed form along with enclosures to ‘The Registrar’, Christian Medical College Ludhiana-141008, Punjab.

In order to be eligible to apply for admission to the M.Sc. Nursing course of this college, an applicant must have passed one of the following examinations obtaining at least 55% marks in the aggregate.

•  Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing examination of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences,Faridkot / Panjab University, Chandigarh.

•  Any other B.Sc. Nursing examination recognized by the Syndicate of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences as equivalent to (a) or (b) above. An applicant shall apply to the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Kotkapura Road, Faridkot-151 203, Punjab for an eligibility certificate, if applicable.
•  Post Basic B.Sc.(IGNOU) only from Centers recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC)

CMC Ludhiana offers a 2 -year full time M.Sc Nursing program. The eligibility criteria, Selection process and Experience requirement for this course is mentioned below:

Registration: Must be a Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife recognized by Nursing Council of India. A Candidate who is not a Registered Midwife must have a short course certificate recognized by INC.

Experience Required: Minimum one year work experience in Bed side Nursing / Public Health Nursing / Teaching after declaration of Final result of B.Sc. Nursing or prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing before 30.08.2024 (date of Counselling).

Selection Process:

Admission to M.Sc Nursing, offered by CMC Ludhiana is granted on the basis of Admission Test (Conducted by CMC Ludhiana). This test will consist of a written test. 

Written test: This test will consist of Multiple Choice Questions based on B.Sc. Nursing Syllabus prescribed by Indian Nursing Council for a maximum of 180 marks.

Eligibility: In order to be considered for admission a candidate should have atleast 35% marks in written test.

Additional Marks: 

1. College of Nursing,CMC Ludhiana Graduates (B.Sc/GNM with Post Basic) will be given 10 additional marks.
2. College of Nursing,CMC Ludhiana Graduates (B.Sc/GNM with Post Basic) who have satisfactorily completed a minimum of 2 years of service obligation or served in CMC Hospital or a member body of CMC Ludhiana Society without service obligation, will get 10 marks. 

OR

 Staff Nurses working in a Government Hospital located in a Rural Area, for a minimum period of 2 years will get 10 marks.

Declaration of Merit List: Provisional Merit list will be put on the Notice Board of the Registrar’s Office, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana on or before 30th August, 2024. 

Tie Break : In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the complete entrance examination, their inter se merit will be determined in order of preference as under :

1.  Written Test marks out of 180.
2.  Age of the candidate in favour of the older candidate.

The Post graduate seats for M.Sc. Nursing are distributed as per the following categories; Category 1 - Open Category and Category 2-Candidates with Service Commitment; 2A - Service Candidates; 2B-Christian Minority Candidates :
