Founded in 1817, the CMS College, Kottayam is now one of the largest colleges in Kerala with 14 departments offering 47 courses including Undergraduate, Postgraduate and research courses for 1900 students, 110 teaching faculty members and 35 administrative staffs.
Admission to all these courses are done on merit basis except for some specific courses for which students need to appear for an interview. Rank list preparations and index mark calculations are done according to the standard procedure followed by the Mahatma Gandhi University.
The application process for UG courses generally starts in the month of May every year and lasts until the first week of June. The application process for PG courses is scheduled in the month of July.

- After the last day of submitting application, late application may be submitted after getting special sanction from the principal
- The college has special relaxation in marks for SC/ST candidates
- For PG courses, the college takes into consideration the CGPA attained by the candidates at their UG level
CMS College UG Admission 2023
The CMS college offers a number of UG courses for the 10+2 qualified students. The college offers B.Sc. degree under seven different specializations and B.A. degree under five different specializations.
The application process to these UG courses start in the month of May and the admission procedure closes by the end of July. All these UG courses are for a period of three years.

CMS College PG Admission 2023
The CMS college offers PG courses with M.Sc., M.A. and M.Com. degree. The M.Sc. course is offered under 10 different specializations. All the PG courses are for a duration of 2 years.
The application process for the PG courses start in the month of July. The merit rank list are published by the month of July and the admission closes by the end of August.

CMS College Ph.D. Admission 2023
CMS College offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in a total of nine departments. Currently, there are 42 scholars doing research leading to PhD through these departments. Only the students with post graduation degree in the respective field can apply for admission in Ph.D.
